Alternative Hen Party Idea – Garter Making in Essex
A garter making party is a great alternative hen party idea. It allows people of all ages to get together, have a natter and make something that they can take home with them.

On Saturday we were invited to the lovely Creeksea Place Barns in Essex to teach 30 lovely hens how to make garters. It was lovely to see all of the hens enjoying themselves, regardless of their previous sewing experience.

We overheard a couple of hens saying that they had been inspired to make their own garters when they get married. One went a step further, saying she is going to wear the one she made on the day, which we saw as a great compliment.

We travel to most places, bringing with us all the materials needed to help everyone make a garter to take home with them. Plus we offer the option to add afternoon tea.

In addition to garter making hen parties, we also offer workshops to show you how to make fascinators, paper pom-poms, and bunting. We bring all of the materials and travel to most locations.
